Making Of White Russian Creamy Cocktail

White Russian creamy cocktail is made with Vodka or kahlua coffee liqueur and milk. It is easy to make and liked by most of us, served with rocks or highball glass over ice. Only 4 to 5 ingredients are needed for this. Take rocks or highball glass and fill with ice cubes then one and half ounce of vodka into the glass. Pour half or one half ounce of kahlua into the glass, these kahlua can pour before vodka or after. Then cover the glass with half and half milk. The kahlua will store at the bottom of the glass with dark color, complete contrast to milk.

Vodka will mix with the milk because both are of same color. The drink is ready but if you want you can garnish it with single maraschino cherry. It can be rested on the surface of drink and will be supported by the ice cubes in the class. You can also fix a stemmed cherry that has not speared with a tooth pick.

Drink can be served with a cocktail straw; this enables the ingredients to be sipped from the bottom of the drink or you can serve without any straw, enjoy Russian creamy cocktail.

New Technology from Google Software Engineer

Some people, once they started drinking alcohol they can’t stop it and they can’t count how many drinks they have taken.

Google Software engineer Jon Perlow made a hard way to count the number of drinks. The technology goes like this, whenever you drink many drinks an email is automatically send to your girlfriend, boss or wife.

From this the benefit is enjoyed by not only Jon but 10 millions of people who are using Gmail. A mail is automatically sent to the desired address as soon as the minimum numbers of drinks are completed, which are set by you.

This optional test feature acts as a barrier for those late emails are sometimes regretful. This feature is activated for only late night parties in weekend. These can be reason for breaking relations or in losing impression of yours in eyes of beloved one’s.

There many technologies used for alcohol testing like LG has included breathalyzer in their 3 phones as special feature. If you are living in Australia, then it is compulsory that you have a breathalyzer with you, if you drink.

Continuous Positive Airway Pressure

Continuous Positive airway pressure (CPAP) is a method of respiratory ventilation used primarily in the treatment of sleep apnea, for which it was first developed. PAP ventilation is also commonly used for critically ill patients in hospital with respiratory failure, and in newborn infants (neonates). In these patients, PAP ventilation can prevent the need for endotracheal intubation, or allow earlier extubation. Sometimes patients with neuromuscular diseases use this variety of ventilation as well.

Disadvantages of Continuous Positive Airway Pressure
Prospective CPAP candidates are often reluctant to use this therapy, since the nose mask and hose to the machine look uncomfortable and clumsy, and the airflow required for some patients can be vigorous. Some patients adjust to the treatment within a few weeks, others struggle for longer periods, and some discontinue treatment entirely. However, studies show that cognitive behavioral therapy at the beginning of therapy dramatically increases compliance - up to 148%.

Therapy compliance on the part of the patient can be improved with support from a durable medical equipment (DME) provider, including allowing the patient his or her choice of PAP devices. PAP manufacturers frequently offer different models at different price ranges, and PAP masks have many different sizes and shapes, so that some users need to try several masks before finding a good fit. These different machines may not be comfortable for all users, so proper selection of PAP models may be very important in furthering adherence to therapy.

Using Drug Testing Kits

A drug testing kit can be used by various types of user groups based on their requirements. The different types of drug tests are tested in very similar ways. Before testing the sample, the tamper-evident seal is checked for integrity. If it appears to have been tampered with or was damaged in transit, the laboratory rejects the sample and does not test it. Drug testing is undertaken by the drug addicts based on the drugs they consume based on their requirements and based on their user groups. The detailed information is listed below
  • Individuals: Home test kits are inexpensive, less time consuming and can be used without requiring help from anyone. You can maintain your privacy while using home test kits unlike when you go to the laboratory.
  • Educational institutions: Testing kits are useful to take drug test for multiple persons at one time. Testing kits are economical and easy to use.
  • Rehabilitation centers: Testing kits helps to prepare reports fast and helps in easy decision making.
  • Sports: Testing kits help the anti doping agencies to get quick and accurate results.
  • Offices: As an employer, it is important for you to choose a drug testing kit or employee drug testing programs that is easy to screen and get accurate results. It is also cost effective to the company. Testing kits save time of employees to get back soon to their work instead of going to laboratory.
The above said are the different user groups of drug abusers who under take drug testing.

What Are Social Enterprises?

Social enterprises are social mission driven organizations which trade in goods or services for a social purpose. The need to deliver on financial, social and environmental performance targets is often referred to as having a triple bottom line.

It could be that the profit (or surplus) from the business is used to support related or unrelated social aims (as in a charity shop), or that the business itself accomplishes the social aim through its operation, say through the employment of people from a disadvantaged community including individuals and existing business who have difficulty in securing investment from banks and mainstream lenders.

Social enterprise is a relatively new term for a type of business that has existed for at least a century. The term social enterprise relates to social entrepreneur, the name originally given to 19th century philanthropic businessmen and industrialists, who had genuine concern for the welfare of their employees. Today, its use varies in different regions. In Britain, the focus is on the use of the surplus as the defining characteristic. In North America, there is less emphasis on generating a surplus and more on the double bottom line nature of the enterprise. European usage tends to add the criterion of social rather than individual ownership.

Social enterprises are generally held to comprise the more businesslike end of the spectrum of organizations that make up the third sector or social economy. A commonly-cited rule of thumb is that at least half their income is derived from trading rather than from subsidy or donations.

The Nobel Prize

The Nobel Prize in Literature is awarded annually, since 1901, to an writer from any country who has, in the words from the will of Alfred Nobel, produced "the most outstanding work of an idealistic tendency". The "work" in this case refers to an author's work as a whole, though individual works are sometimes also cited. The Swedish Academy decides who, if anyone will obtain the prize in any given year and announces the name of the chosen laureate in early October. Nobel's choice of importance on "idealistic" or "ideal" in his criteria for the Nobel Prize in Literature has led to recurrent controversy. In the original Swedish, the word idealisk can be translated as either "idealistic" or "ideal". In the early twentieth century, the Nobel Committee interpreted the intent of the will strictly and did not award definite world-renowned authors of the time such as Leo Tolstoy, Henrik Ibsen and Henry James. More recently, the wording has been interpreted more generously, and the Prize is awarded both for lasting literary merit and for proof of consistent idealism on some important level, most recently a kind of idealism championing human rights on a large scale, and hence more political, some would argue.

"The highlight of the Nobel Prize Award Ceremony in Stockholm is when each Nobel Laureate steps forward to receive the prize from the hands of His magnificence the King of Sweden. Under the eyes of a watching world, the Nobel Laureate receives three things: a diploma, a medal and a document confirming the prize amount". In 2007 the Nobel Prize in Literature was awarded to Doris Lessing, an English citizen of the United Kingdom, cited as "that epicist of the female experience, who with scepticism, fire and visionary power has subjected a divided civilization to scrutiny"; she receives a prize amount of 10,000,000 SEK (slightly more than €1 million, or US$1.4 million). The Swedish Academy has involved major criticism in recent years. Some compete that many famous writers have not been awarded the prize or even been nominated, whereas others contend that others, who are already well known, do not deserve it. There have also been controversies involving alleged political interests relating to the nomination process and final selection of some of the recent literary Laureates.

Local Information and Market Trends for apartment purchase

It’s a great time to buy an apartment in Texas right now. Four factors benefit apartment buyers are as follows:

Low interest rates
We are seeing interest rates in the 6% range. A lot of apartment owners who are planning to sell their dallas tx apartment are refinancing right now. Most of what you hear about refinancing in the news right now is related to adjustable rate mortgages. But, there are also a lot of people refinancing to take advantage of the good rates. So, the rates are good news not just for apartment buyers, but also for current apartment owners.

Large selection of apartments
Believe it or not, this number is actually lower than it was a few months ago, when there were almost 12,000. It’s great that we’re seeing a reduction in apartments for sale because that means that apartments are being taken off the market – due to selling, renting them out instead, or simply being withdrawn. As this number gradually comes back down, we’ll see more of a balance in the market – so there won’t be such a strong buyers market here. The bottom line is that buyers have a lot of choices right now for apartments. And, a large inventory leads to the next factor.

Lowest prices in years
Because there are so many houston apartments, sellers have to compete in order to sell. This means lower prices for buyers. You can get a lot more for your money in Texas than you could have even a year ago.

Motivated sellers
Texas has a strong buyers market. Sellers are not only reducing their prices, but they’re also willing to do a lot more now to get their apartments sold. Of course, not all sellers are motivated. But, for the most part, sellers know that they have to be reasonable to sell their apartments. Having more flexible sellers is great for buyers wanting to negotiate.

Texas real estate market really benefits buyers, especially those looking to move up and those who don’t have a current apartment to sell (like first-time apartment buyers). On the other hand, the market does not benefit buyers who are downsizing or investors who are trying to liquidate properties. These two groups of buyers should wait until the market picks back up again – hopefully that won’t be too long.

The view of Earth from space

Have anybody had got the idea of looking the earth from space. I am a common man, and its impossible for me to do that so I decided to surf the internet and just as a glance I saw some images of Earth on web. So I became very curious to know all why, when, where, what questions of Earth. And that curiosity turned into hobby. Earth from space—from overviews of deserts, jungles, ice caps, volcanoes and weather patterns, to an enormous cloud-covered sphere just outside the spaceship's porthole, to a tiny blue-white marble hanging in the inky blackness, the view from the moon. There are many people who add added a narrative of quotes from astronauts and cosmonauts from different countries, most written especially for the project. The view from space is a synoptic, all-in-one-eyeful view of our home world. We didn't take advantage of it right away for science, though. Space imagery has been practical first and scientific a distant second, for the most part. The earliest synoptic images were those taken by weather satellites and military sky spies, and both activities are still going strong.
The first astronauts took pictures out their little portholes. They were great documentary photos, but about as useful for science as the snapshots I've taken through airliner windows
Before we went into the depth of learning about the space, science fiction stories treated space travel as a new form of air or sea travel. Nobody thought the real space program would be like riding a giant wheel—we get on, go in circles, then come down, and while we're up there we look mostly down at the ground. But the real payoff of space, for Earth science and for every other human endeavor, has been the new vantage point we get to look at Earth itself.
The biggest Earth-watching satellite program is probably the Earth Observing System (EOS) program. Check out the Earth Observatory to see the scope of this enterprise, which is much bigger than I have space to review. Among other things, there is a thorough treatment of satellite imagery, as good as a full-fledged seminar on the subject.
James Irwin, USA: One of the famous astronauts who have gone into space had said about it in this way “The Earth reminded us of a Christmas tree ornament hanging in the blackness of space. As we got farther and farther away it diminished in size. Finally it shrank to the size of a marble, the most beautiful marble you can imagine. That beautiful, warm, living object looked so fragile, so delicate, that if you touched it with a finger it would crumble and fall apart. Seeing this has to change a man, has to make a man appreciate the creation of God and the love of God.”

The need of customer engagement

CE marketing is necessitated by a combination of social, technological and market developments:
Businesses are losing the power to dictate the communications agenda:
The effectiveness of the traditional ‘interrupt and repeat’ model of advertising is decreasing.
  • Customer audiences are smaller and specialist: The fragmentation of media and audiences and the accompanying reduction of audience size have reduced the effectiveness of the traditional top-down, mass, ‘interrupt and repeat’ advertising model. The adoption of new media.
  • Customer audiences are also broadcasters: A company’s position is no longer just inside consumers’ minds. As they increasingly speak their minds with the power for circulation and permanence of CGM, businesses lose the power of shouting over everyone else. Instead of trying to position a product using a couple of static messages that will themselves become the subject of conversation amongst a target market that has already discussed, positioned and rated the product, companies must join in. This also means that consumers can now choose not only when and how but, also, if they will engage with marketing communications, they can rely on CGM. In addition new media themselves provide consumers with more control over their advertising consumption
Decreasing brand loyalty:
The lowering of entry barriers (such as the need for a sales force, access to channels and physical assets) and the geographical widening of the market due to the Internet has brought about increasing competition. In combination with lower switching costs, easier access to information about products and suppliers and increased choice customer loyalty is hard to achieve.

The increasing ineffectiveness of TV advertising due to the shift of consumer attention to the internet, the ability, within new media, to control advertising consumption and the decrease in audience size is bringing about a progressive shift of advertising spending online

The proliferation of media that provide consumers with more control over their advertising consumption and the simultaneous decrease of faith in advertising and increase of faith in peers point to the need for communications that the customer will desire to engage with. Stimulating a consumer’s engagement with a brand is the only way to increase brand loyalty and, therefore, “the best measure of current and future performance”.

CE is the solution that marketers have devised in order to come to terms with the social, technological and market developments outlined above. In a nutshell, it is the attempt to create an engaging dialogue with target consumers and stimulate their engagement with the brand. Although this must take place consistently both on and off-line, the Internet is the primary vehicle for doing so.

CE marketing begins with understanding the internal dynamics of these developments and, especially, the behavior and engagement of consumers online. That way, business opportunities can be identified. The control Web 2.0 consumers have gained must, and will be, quantified through ‘old school’ marketing performance metrics.

Purchase decision

Once the alternatives have been evaluated, the consumer is ready to make a purchase decision. Sometimes purchase intention does not result in an actual purchase. The marketing organization must facilitate the consumer to act on their purchase intention. The provision of credit or payment terms may encourage purchase, or a sales promotion such as the opportunity to receive a premium or enter a competition may provide an incentive to buy now. The relevant internal psychological process that is associated with purchase decision is integration.
Post purchase evaluation:
Once the consumer has purchased and used the product, they will evaluate their purchasing decision. They compare the product's performance with their expectations. If the product does not perform as expected they will experience post purchase dissatisfaction. When consumers purchase high involvement products, that are more expensive products for which they exert a greater purchasing effort in terms of time and search, they usually experience some level of discomfort after the purchase. That is, they experience some doubt that they made the right choice. This situation is called 'cognitive dissonance' (thinking disharmony). You should consider the implications of post purchase behavior for the marketing organization. How can the marketing organization minimize the likelihood of post purchase dissatisfaction and/or cognitive dissonance?
The relevant internal psychological process that is associated with post purchase evaluation is learning. According to Belch and Belch (2007) discuss two basic approaches to learning theory behavioral and cognitive learning theory. Behavioral learning theory proposes that stimuli from the environment influence behavior.

Dwarf tree and Bonsai

Dwarf and bonsai trees are very small plants can grow as indoor plants. Dwarf tree, in horticultural practice, a tree artificially kept to a smaller size than is normal for average members of the species. This is usually accomplished either by limiting its root space and food and by careful pruning or by grafting it on the rootstock of a smaller species. Dwarf trees utilize limited space and are grown for ornamental purposes. Dwarf fruit trees are valued for both decoration and fruit production in small gardens. Natural dwarfing occurs among plants growing in areas where only low-growing varieties can survive for example alpine plants. Bonsai, art of cultivating dwarf trees. Bonsai, developed by the Japanese more than a thousand years ago, is derived from the Chinese practice of growing miniature plants. In bonsai cultivation, woody plants are kept small and in true proportion to their natural models by growing them in small containers, feeding and watering them only enough for healthy growth, pruning, and training branches in the desired shape by the application of wire coils; the term bonsai also refers to the plants dwarfed by this method. Weathered trees in harsh climates serve as natural models for aged looking, gnarled, bent, and overhanging miniature trees. The selection of containers, the position of the plant in the container, and the choice of single plants or plant groupings are important aesthetic considerations. In Japan, various native evergreens, i.e., junipers, spruces, and pines, as well as many flowering deciduous trees, are cultivated; in America many native species have been found suitable. The Brooklyn Botanic Garden in New York City houses an extensive bonsai collection.

Searching apartments for rent

Apart from Internet and online searches you can also make your las vegas apartment, you have an other choice that is a search from ads The best way to get a good deal is to watch the ads every week. This is the best advice for house renters and buyers. You will begin to notice that the less popular units that stay on the market for a long time tend to drop in price. And the more popular units go quickly with little added benefits. Some units offer specials on occasional periods, but it never hurts to call a landlord and ask if there are any specials. Sometimes they will throw in a discount just to get your business even if it is not advertised and you need to be careful with that in that sense. Bring the competitor’s ads. Ask the landlord to match another landlord’s specials or rates. Most likely, they will match it. Take notice of things that look broken or recently repaired. If a wall was recently repainted, there may have been some water damage. If something looks broken, then perhaps the handyman is never around to fix it. Nothing is more irritating than waiting months for a handyman to come fix something. If you really like the unit, get the landlord to fix the items before you sign the contract or make the lease contingent to the repairs. If a landlord or agent doesn’t agree then you should expect never to see the items get repaired during your tenure at that unit.

Learning foreign language

There wear some foreign language courses going in my office in the weekends as a part of improving the personal skills. Initially I was not that much enthusiastic about that but I got interested after attending to the intro class. But all the fear of mine was, there comes a time, however, when you reach a situation, which causes frustration and often discouragement.

However, I want to give a try at this and quickly found that the trick, and the doorway to ultimate success, is not to give up. Below are some very helpful tips that will allow you to overcome these challenges as they appear.
  • Get immersed in your chosen language- Actively use the language wherever you can find it useful and has a chance.
  • Make realistic learning goals-Making mistakes and incomprehension are usually seen as negative, but they are actually a very normal part of the language learning process.
  • Efficient study periods-Regularity is the key. It is not how much; it is how often you study.
  • Effective language tools- there is a wealth of knowledge available on the Internet. Visit language forums to find out what other people are using.
  • Vocabulary repertoire- this is an integral part of language; therefore, it needs to be treated as such. Which method you use needs to be simple and accessible.
Now, for me half of the course is over and I think I am on the right track.

Harvard Business Review - History And Organization

Harvard Business Review began in 1922 as an editorial project of Harvard Business School’s faculty and students. In the first issue, Harvard Business School Dean Wallace B. Donham described the aims of the magazine in the article “An Essential Groundwork for a Broad Executive Theory.” “The theory of business must develop to such a point that the executive may learn from the experiences of others in the past how to act under the conditions of the present,” he wrote. “Otherwise, business will continue to be unsystematic, haphazard, and for many men a pathetic gamble.”

HBR began switching its editorial focus toward general management after World War II, as a growing number of executives became interested in the management techniques pioneered at General Motors and other large companies. Over the next three decades, the magazine continued to refine its focus on general management issues that affect business leaders, billing itself as the “magazine for decision makers.” Prominent articles published during this period included “Marketing Myopia,” “Barriers and Gateways to Communication,” and “How Competitive Forces Shape Strategy.”

Originally published by HBS, HBR has since 1993 been published by Harvard Business School Publishing, a non-profit subsidiary of Harvard that also publishes cases, books, newsletters, and corporate learning programs and materials. In 2001, the magazine increased its frequency from bimonthly to monthly.

Since 1959, the magazine’s annual McKinsey Award has recognized the two most significant HBR articles published each year, as determined by a group of independent judges. Past winners have included the late management guru Peter Drucker, who was honored 7 times; Theodore Levitt; Michael Porter; Rosabeth Moss Kanter; and C.K. Prahalad.
