The Five Simple Steps in Meditation

Now-a-days, meditation has become a part of human life. But, many people feel meditation gives many results. Meditation can be done in different ways. All the methods preach commonly on how to concentrate. The different steps involved in meditation are

  • A person who wants to meditate should select a peaceful and pleasant place for meditation. One should select such a place that the person should not be disturbed for around 20 minutes. The seating arrangement should be comfortable, as it should not distract the concentration while meditating.
  • After sitting in a comfortable place, do not start meditating immediately. First, relax for 2 -3 minutes to calm yourself down, then close your eyes.
  • After closing eyes, take few long and deep breathes which will help in eliminating all the stress.
  • As the stress is released, now the mind becomes free from unwanted thoughts. Next, start observing your breathe and start counting them. Concentrating on breathe becomes easy as the mind becomes free from thoughts.
  • If there is any recurrence of thoughts, restart the same process again. Few people may face difficulty during the initial days, but they get accustomed once they do it regularly.
By implementing the above said steps, one can attain high meditations standards within short span of time. It can be done even while traveling, before facing the interview. It can be done irrespective of time and place, unless you are comfortable. Meditation increases concentration power and problem solving abilities. It also increases memory power.
