Hotel Towel Theft

Hotel linen includes hand towels, bedsheets, pillow, slippers and many others. A nice fluffy white stack of towels are seen at hotels in the restrooms. Some people are involved in taking up one or two of them back to their home. Theft of hotel towels is one of the most common problems faced by the hotels. It may result in some unpleasant consequences when one is caught after the theft.

Once the customer leaves the hotel, the housekeeping staff are involved in finding the inventory of the belongings of the room. If the towels of low quality are lost, they are simply replaced by others. If they are of high quality, then it results in belated charges to the guest's room.

Approximately, $100 million is spent by the industry each and every year due to the thefts. The issue also becomes more pertinent as it is known and continued by the roommates. However, it is necessary for hotels to recoup the losses. Some hotels are involved in getting the losses by increasing the number of roommates. Chances of charging the customer for the crime are very less. Sometimes hotel slippers are also taken away by some customers.
