Guide to Pick the Reception Venues

For any couples choosing a wedding reception is a most tedious and challenging one but it is an exciting one. You should choose the reception venue site that's functional and expresses your functionality. You should not sign the contract of booking the venue hall until you consider or decide some things. The site you can choose for your reception venue can be restaurant, museum, ballroom, or a garden.

Below are some of the points to consider while choosing the reception hall:
  • First find out the number of hosts you are hosting for your wedding. Based on this select the venue hall. This will avoid you squeezing too many people in tight space or few people in larger space.
  • Budget also plays an important role because some of the sites will not take rental fees for the hall but some sites charge on food and beverages. So, research on this and choose the hall which comes in your budget.
  • Decide what type of look and feel you want for your reception venue. That is whether you wanted to do your wedding in formal, trendy or laid back? Indoor or outdoor ceremony? Or ceremony and reception at one location or separate.
  • Consider the traveling facilities to the venue.
  • Climatic and weather conditions of the spotted location.
  • Accommodations they are providing?
  • Suppose if bad condition in whether is there, what do you do? So look for back-up plans at that place.
  • Compare with other venue locations and decide the hall.
  • Make sure that they are providing enough room for music, dancing, cutting the cake, dining etc.
  • Ask also for how much time they will allow you to stay at that place (length of time), hidden costs, permits, decorations etc.
Before signing or booking a hall make sure that what they are providing, what you want to buy extra, are they providing all the requirements (tables, chairs, tents and other equipment) you want etc. then only you sign and book for the hall.
