In general whenever we think of a towel the first thing that comes to our mind is the clothing which we use for drying our body after having a shower. They will be of regular size and mostly in rectangular shape, long enough to wrap them around the body. But the fact is that there are a set of bath towels which are available in different sizes. They all belong to the same category of bath towels however their name changes according to their usage.
Basically there are five types of towels available. Let us check different sizes of bath towels and how they are called.
1. Wash Cloths: These are the smallest form of the bath towels. They are made up of terry cloth and are rectangular in shape. They are generally used to assist the bathers for lathering and gentle scrubbing. These cloths are optional however they will be provided at hotels to the guests for convenience.

3. Bath Mats: Bath mats are the things which are used to wipe the extra moisture from the body after having a bath. These bath mats are a little smaller than the regular bath towels and are thicker than the regular ones since they are supposed to absorb the moisture completely.
4. Bath Towels: These are the basic size of bath towels which we use regularly after having bath. They are made up of terry cloth and are cut in to a generous amount to have the higher absorption capacity. These bath towels are long enough to cover and wrap the body.
5. Bath sheets: The last kind of towels which belong to the bath towel set are the Bath Sheets. They are pretty long and their size varies up to 6 feet long. The standard sized towels which we use generally becomes completely wet but the bath sheets leaves you with more surface are for more absorption. However a few number of companies are offering this kind of towels since they are less preferred by the common people.
